I am a third-generation restoration contractor with a lifelong background in restoration, construction, environmental contamination, and specialty cleanup services.
My grandfather started the family business in the 1950s and 1960s as a construction and janitorial company. During the 1970s and 1980s, my father expanded the company into restoration and construction services, and during the 1980s and 1990s, my sister and I helped grow the company into the emergency services sector.
Over the years, we handled water and fire damage restoration, trauma scene cleanup, mold remediation, hoarding cleanup, drug lab cleanup, carpet and upholstery cleaning, construction, janitorial services, and smoke-damaged textile cleaning.
I have been involved with hoarding environments since the mid-1990s and now teach hoarding cleanup and specialty environmental cleanup courses professionally.
After the family business was sold in the early 2000s, I began international consulting work. Today, I work between California and Taiwan consulting on mold contamination, emergency containment systems, and specialty cleanup procedures.
I am a California Licensed General Contractor, Certified Home Inspector, and hold multiple IICRC and OSHA certifications.
I still consider myself more comfortable in PPE on a jobsite than behind a camera, but I genuinely enjoy teaching and sharing practical real-world experience from decades in the industry. I’m also aware I don’t know everything because every hoarding job is different, and people in these classes often share experiences and stories that help all of us continue learning.
Thanks for visiting the site, and I hope some of the information here helps you in your own restoration journey.
